A brand new building at TV Chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage in Dorset has been clad with EUROSIX fully compressed fibre cement roof sheeting. River Cottage is often seen on television with the emphasis strongly on local organic produce and commitment to ethical business practice.
The new River Cottage building will be used for both office facilities and meeting rooms which overlook an outstanding area of natural beauty. To maximise the opportunity to benefit from these views, the EUROSIX roof area was complimented with 5 Velux roof lights which offer considerable natural daylight to the office space below. A built up insulated roof system has also been specified and all the benefits and flexibility of a fully compressed fibre cement roof can be seen to good effect in this construction. EUROSIX was chosen as the perfect product to clad this small commercial building with the main criteria being a completely weatherproof roof covering with excellent acoustic insulation which significantly reduces noise within the building compared to alternative roof coverings available. EUROSIX is a maintenance free product which is produced to UK quality control system BS EN ISO 9002 and meets all the requirements of BS EN 494 class C1X.
