Briarwood recommend that full current H.S.E guidelines are strictly observed when working with fibre cement roofing materials and all associated products.

Always use HSE recommended roof access systems whenever required, paying special attention to any possible slips, trips and fall hazards when working on any roof structure. Single point entry onto any roof where heavy foot traffic occurs may also require additional attention to protect the roof sheeting

Safety nets must be used

Always wear sound rubber-soled shoes or boots (not wellingtons)

You must ensure that all purlin and frames are secure before work starts

Do not leave any loose material on the roof you may know its loose other people may not

Secure all ladders and make safe any other access to the roof

Always refer to current HSE guidelines when working at height.
