Meet our Team

This month meet Norman Morter, a key member of the Sales Team at Briarwood.
Having worked in the Fibre Cement industry for over 30 years, he has great experience of a whole spectrum of projects and is a great source of information for our customers.
What does a normal site visit involve?
A normal site visit would involve meeting the end user or the main contractor to discuss the upcoming project, giving experienced advice on the best products to use on the buildings, depending on what the building will be used for whether it is for livestock, cereals, or general storage. During site visits we can also advise on the installation and technical advice.
What makes the Briarwood way of handling sales different to other suppliers?
Briarwood is a family run business and we offer our customers a personal service, all orders and enquiries are replied to as soon as possible and customers can speak to us directly.
What is the Briarwood approach to customer service?
Customers are the most important part of the business at Briarwood and we do everything we can to accommodate their requirements. We hold the largest stock of Fibre Cement Sheeting in the country, ensuring customers can receive their orders within five working days anywhere in the country using our own  vehicles. We also supply from stock everything to finish the external skin of the building from purlins both metal and timber, roof lights, fixings  all delivered on the same vehicle.
What is the most important consideration when advising a customer on their agricultural building?
To discuss with the customers their requirements to determine what the building will be used for, allowing us to give an honest opinion to the best way of supplying the best products to complete the building .
What types of buildings can you offer advice on?
I can offer advice on all agricultural buildings whether it is for housing livestock, grain stores or general storage. I also have experience in industrial, leisure , and domestic buildings using Fibre Cement Sheeting.
What do you like most about your job?
It is nice to work with a team of friendly and knowledgeable people who all work together to keep up the quality service. Also, holding such large stock means that after taking an order its great to have the confidence we can deliver on time.
