Meet our Warehouse Manager, Arkadiusz Mataga, who has been an integral part of the team at Briarwood for over a decade and currently manages our busy warehouse team.
We hold a stock of seven different coloured Eurosix roofing sheets. Our own paintline means we have the facility to paint six colours of fittings in our warehouse on a daily basis. This enables us to treat each order individually.
What makes the way Briarwood stores its stock different to other suppliers?
Unlike all suppliers, every item we stock is stored inside, under roof in our 21 acre warehouse.
How often do you receive new stock deliveries?
Every day! We are kept busy with new stock arriving on a daily basis
How do you handle large orders compared to small orders?
All orders are handled in the same manner picked and checked in order of arrival sorted for loading and delivery.
How are the lorries loaded? And how many pallets and sheets do most lorries take?
Each day is different, but a full lorry load can have up to 1200 sheets on it.
How many orders do you send out on an average day?
Approximately 70 ranging from 1 box of fixings to a full load of Eurosix sheets, not one day is the same!
I love the busy atmosphere of the warehouse, there are always new deliveries to be received, orders to pick and lorries to load. Also, there is a great variety in the work, every day is different.
