White Waltham Airfield (West London Aero Club) near Maidenhead, Berkshire is set in over 200 acres of countryside and is one of the oldest airfields in the UK with reputedly the largest grass runway in the UK.
Due to expansion of the club, new members joining and a waiting list for flying lessons it was decided that 2 new hangers were required to cope with the demand for aeroplane storage and maintenance areas.
A wide range of small privately owned aircraft are stored in the two EUROSIX buildings and perhaps the most interesting of them all is one of only two tri-planes (triple wing) still flying in the country. The enthusiastic pilot stated he was completely impressed with the EUROSIX hangers and, as he also carries out maintenance on small aircraft in these hangers, said the atmosphere and comfort during any outside weather conditions has always been beneficial and did not restrict the time spent working on his aeroplanes.
EUROSIX is the only fully compressed fibre cement roof sheeting available in the UK and is covered by the required Manufacturers CE certificate of conformity No L10 CE (12) which is available upon request.
