This month marks a very momentous occasion at Briarwood Products as we celebrate 40 years of supplying farmers across the UK.
Briarwood Products originated from humble beginings at Alan Jane’s family farm near Weston-Super-mare back in 1978. As a farmer himself Alan understood what was key to running a successful farm and was able to use his farming knowledge to seek out the best roofing product – EuroSix.
Soon he was supplying local farmers and on the strength of the superior roofing sheets as well as approachable customer service and fast delivery the company successfully grew into what is today – the UK’s largest stock of Fibre Cement Roofing.
Briarwood Products has had the opportunity to be part of so many varying projects over the years: from local projects like Sedgemoor market, to ‘green’ projects such as a Biomass and recycling centre which supplies the Eden Project, to government projects like the MOD equestrian centre, to high profile projects such as Welshpool livestock market given the Royal seal of approval by the Queen and award winning projects like Pierpoint Dairy as well as projects for celebrities such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
Even though the company has grown significantly, its farming family run ethos has not changed. The family also remain farmers, continuing to run their own Beef farms locally.
